Hartley Neighborhood Association Monthly Meeting 06/15/2006 Minutes
President Barbara Cornelius called the meeting to order at 7:05pm in the Sacred Heart Church rectory basement. Members in attendance were Michael Cornelius, Don Eveland, Chris Lesiak, and James Walkington.
Chris presented the minutes and some corrections were noted. Michael moved to accept the minutes as amended, Don seconded, and the minutes were approved.
Barbara, for Rhonda, reported that there was no change in the treasury.
The Welcome Committee had no report.
Michael reported that the Focus Area committee would meet on July 17.
The Membership Committee had no report.
Barbara began discussion of the newsletter by suggesting that Union College may be able to help distribute newsletters as part of Project Impact. A due date for articles was set at July 17. Don asked that his advertisement be included. Price for business card sized ads will increase to $50. Don agreed to help sell ads. Article suggestions included the Free To Grow party plan, and Focus Area progress and plans. It was noted that last time, 1000 11x17 double sided copies were made for $200. Barbara will look into whether offset printing might be a better option.
Barbara noted that the expenses for the cleanup still needed to be submitted for reimbursement.
A discussion on graffiti cleanup began, and a list of individuals willing to help with cleanup was started.
James began a discussion about using the Hyland Brothers property as a sunken garden. There was some question about the disposition of the property, which James will investigate.
There was no new information about the collaborative project with Free to Grow and the Clinton Neighborhood Association.
As there was no further business, Michael moved to adjourn and Don seconded. The meeting was adjourned.
